The core conception behind “Hunter Gianna” is to inspire hearts through storytelling.

I believe that we, as human beings, are an ephemeral form of art—one that time must eventually seize (mostly through death). Interestingly enough, our being is simultaneously its own canvas, sculptor, and critic.  

Yet each of us exists in a dimension that cannot be preserved whole in amber, nor replicated. What we can leave behind are mediated fragments: a portrait, your own songs, a production, or a sourdough starter.  

It is almost impossible to salvage all the shards of the unholdable, but we may still attempt to do so.  

For me, that attempt is a dedication to portraying the world I see—as a boundaryless wanderer who chooses to live beyond boundaries—while rooting my storytelling in the unique position of being Malaysian of Chinese heritage, shaped by life experiences across continents.

It is a privilege to exist “in-between,” because it grants you eyes to observe the currents of meaning and memory flowing between the identity you were born into and the one you were taught to become. 

Most importantly, to evolve above them, recognizing they are not merely a vantage point but an ongoing dialogue.  

I quit my job as an Investment Banker in Hong Kong, started this production company and built my own studio - the moment I recognized the power within myself: the talent to articulate, the passion to explore, the compassion to understand, and the courage to wield my own power of “and.”
