On network

Network—or network design—determines how we interact with other online communities. It’s the organizing framework that enables billions of people to connect.

Network determines how attention flows and believe it or not, the attention you garner online extends beyond the digital realm. It intersects, permeates, and further shapes the social landscape. Because fundamentally, we are all part of a community built on shared norms, storytelling, and mutual recognition.

The digital and physical worlds are entwined.

I don’t think our opinions—on elections, politicians, food, dating preferences, or even where and what to do—are truly independent of what we see online.

Just remember this: where you spend most of your time—that, my friend, is your world. A space that shapes how information moves and connects.

You are the curator of that world, better be intentional. We reach out to people online, but there’s still a long way to go if we seek deep and meaningful connections. I believe in content creation, and it’s certainly not a stretch to imagine using it to gather an audience into a living ecosystem.

One thought experiment I’m having now is: instead of focusing on the content, maybe these questions matter more:

Who am I building it with?

What could this ecosystem be—one that allows information to flow and evolve?

And if I reimagine a network as a movement, then what we are experiencing and consuming now certainly feels insufficient. There’s something I see and feel but can’t quite name. Perhaps keeping the information flowing (and keep creating) is how I’ll eventually locate the source of that itch.

Just some random thoughts on a Saturday evening.

Hope you’re well and engaging deeply with your world, not only the online one tho… :))
